What we did
An app used by multiple companies, where transport and cargo companies keep their vehicles, trips, income and expenses, and customer receivables. Each transaction is recorded in its own currency at the dollar and euro rate of that moment.

Before
On international trips, income comes in euros and costs in lira. As the exchange rate moved, whether a trip actually made a profit got lost in the spreadsheet.
Now
The rate at the time of recording is stored with the transaction, and net profit shows separately for each trip and each vehicle.
